On the Dance Floor - In the Studio
Many years ago....I was privileged to be accepted as part of an improvisational, music, art and dance group called the "Imaginarium"
We preformed live for and with Children and Teachers, with the goal of encouraging the use of the Arts as tools for education and therapy.
Our leader and teacher Betty Malezi-Hollingsworth, aka "Squeegee" the clown, encouraged each of us in the troupe and all we worked with to bring out the hidden gems of our creativity. Not with right and wrong, or trying to be something we are not, but showing us how we can be stronger and better at what we already are.
When we as a troupe worked in the Studio preparing for an event, the freedom Betty allowed and the encouragement of exploring what was inside of us brought forth wonderful moments.
